In Region Gotland, you can develop and grow, both as an individual and together with others. When you work with us, you contribute to making Gotland an even better place for people in all walks of life. We make each other better.
Väskinde School
Väskinde School is a two-parallel F-6 school with approximately 260 students.
Väskinde is a growing idyll, located ten kilometers north of Visby. Here, you will work in a large team with qualified colleagues and a strong student health team for support. At Väskinde School, we have qualified teachers who want to learn from each other, and we focus heavily on collegial learning. The classes consist of 15 to 22 students.
The school is beautifully situated between the church and open fields. On the schoolyard, there is a small school garden where students and teachers can grow and work together. Many teachers have come to Väskinde School and chosen to stay because they enjoy being part of the team and working with the students, and we currently have an opportunity for you to apply for a position here at the school.
Your Responsibilities
We are now looking for a health and activity coordinator for our school with responsibility for the following:
- Plan, implement, and evaluate health-promoting initiatives with a focus on movement and physical activity
- Work with relevant teachers to integrate movement into teaching and create adapted activities for students with different needs
- Develop strategies to increase students' daily movement in classrooms, during breaks, and in after-school activities
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff, the student health team, and guardians to promote health and learning
- Conduct training and workshops for staff on health-promoting practices
- Participate in the school's systematic quality work related to health and movement
Who Are You?
You have an academic degree in sports science/movement and have experience working in schools, particularly with younger children. You have experience and good insight into the after-school program's curriculum.
You should have adequate experience and knowledge related to the responsibilities mentioned above.
You are a driven and engaged leader who combines initiative with a strong ability to create results through collaboration and clear communication. With a natural sense of relationships and empathy, you build trust and inspire people to reach their full potential. You are pedagogically insightful and can convey complex messages in a simple and convincing way, creating understanding and engagement. As a leader, you are both clear and motivating, with a structure that provides security and creativity that opens up new solutions. This combination makes you a key player in all contexts where development, innovation, and human leadership are at the center.
